Winston-Salem SHRM serves our members by providing guidance, networking, and support for the growth and professional development of the Piedmont Triad Human Resources community.
Our Vision
To be the premier resource for HR programming, professional development, and networking in the Piedmont Triad Region.
What We Do
Winston-Salem SHRM is also active with the Winston-Salem Chamber of Commerce, Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina and other community organizations. Winston-Salem SHRM partners with Goodwill Industries in their Workforce Development Initiatives, including Youth In-Transition and the Triad Employment Fair each spring.
WSSHRM History
The Winston-Salem Society for Human Resource Management was founded in the fall of 1946 as the Winston-Salem Personnel Association. In the early 80’s the WSPA began its affiliation with SHRM and in 1994, the membership voted to change the organization’s name in alignment with the national affiliate, The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
